Crazy fight @ 3:00 where Dempsey won the title.
How did that guy keep getting up?? There are like 10 shots in that short HL of the fight that would have put 99% of today's fighters away. But he kept getting up.
Add to that that he accused Dempsey of having plaster of paris in his gloves lol

Nope!
I'm about 3/4 done.
My god, it's amazing.
It's like a brief history of the 20th century, only seen through HW boxing lens. So well researched. The footage compiled is amazing, and I'm not even talking fight clips

Im pretty sure a journalist made that up, but I recently watched one of the few confirmed cased of this. Luis Resto was found to have removed padding in his gloves and added plaster in this fight:
Collins was a young guy coming up and probably would have been a great champion but was severely injured as a result and almost went blind. He retired to prevent further damage to his eyes. Resto later admitted that his trainer did that for many of his fighters.
Also note the video is heavily focused on stuff that was popular. For example Larry Holmes dominated the early 80s and is easily top 5 HW ATG and the only mention he got in the video was when he came out of retirement at 38 and lost to Mike Tyson. People don't generally talk about Holmes because he fought with his jab instead of huge power shots.
Just found this:

Yep I saw others commenting that Holmes should have been included.
Let's give some love to Larry Holmes!
