These are from last night. Double model night, was fun. Poses were still short for whatever reason, these are either 15 minute or 20 minute poses. That's less than 10 to get each character. I was movin fast though, was glad I could get most of the info in before time ran out

^^ she WAS an angel! lol There was some bearded fat guy talking to the host before class, I thought, "Could THAT be 'angel'?" :D (to my pleasant surprise he wasn't)

This was the first time this model had modeled for Lifedrawing (apparently did lots of photography work), so for the first hour she kept moving her head like crazy. Host corrected her in the break and she was awesome from then on. Great model, super fun to draw. However all my best drawings she was looking away, she tended to hide her face a lot with her hair/looking away etc. Too bad because she had a great face to draw, hope she comes back soon

Oh yeah I forgot, I made $75 bucks last night! lol

I go to pay the usual $10 fee and he says 'No I owe YOU money'... we had some drawings up in a hallway somewhere to advertise the classes and apparently some rich lady bought 3 of em (1 of mine) for $100 each. Host took $25 commission less the $10 fee for the night and gave me 65 bones cash

I think I may take up this naked lady drawing hobby of yours, seems like a win.
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.

It is. 3 hours for 10 bucks. Plus free wine, and sometimes this hippy lady brings cookies.

Last week I crashed hard, had to quit after the first hour was feeling awful. Too bad because it was a great model. Got some decent gestures out of it at least:

First class back in 3 weeks.

A buddy gave me these fat pencils to use instead of my usual conte sticks, so I drew much smaller, I could fit 2 on a page, more like sketching not so big. Also you hold conte differently than a pencil, so this was actually better practice for me professionally because when I work I hold a pen/stylus so it would make sense to practice drawing like that instead of the bigger flat-held conte style

In any case, for stepping out of my regular methods and being 3 weeks rusty I felt pretty good. Psyched for next week
