There doesn't seem to be as much war under Trump. I'm finding this a welcome reprieve.

^ don't get too excited, we may still yet see war with Iran to finish off the whole plan...

HERE is a concrete reason to hate on Trump, and at the very same time you can connect him to a PLETHORA of openly racist comments;

His cozy relationship with this vile disgusting racist bitch Nikki Haley. I find her so completely repulsive... seriously, listen to any of her talks at AIPAC, UN, or other Zionist think-tank fundraising BS, you can't get any more openly racist than that IMO. Nothing but horrible, scary, supremacist, murderous, racist, war-mongering, lying, apartheid rhetoric spews from her demonic mouth. I would post examples but she makes me so ill I can't even stomach to go find some clips.

Yet no one who wants to hate on Trump would dare go there...

Still, he needs to invade a non aligned Islamic country and bomb it into the stone age before he gets his presidential big boy boots.

What we've seen from him so far is Ronald Reagan level belligerence.

Did you listen to his recent speech at the UN re; Iran?

You could almost hear the war-drums rumbling in the background. Same rhetoric re; Syria. Trump continues the job of world-police enforcer with psychos like John Bolton in his corner, yet accuse Iran of '...not respecting their neighbors or borders or the sovereign rights of nations'.

Whatever Trump had that made him unique or likeable is fading fast, he's singing the same tune as all the others now.

Bombing Iran to the stone age within his presidency?

Top U.S. Diplomat Backed Continuing Support for Saudi War in Yemen Over Objections of Staff
https://www.wsj.com/articles/top-u-s-diplomat-backed-continuing-support-for-saudi-war-in-yemen-over-objections-of-staff-1537441200

WASHINGTON—Secretary of State Mike Pompeo backed continued U.S. military support for Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen over the objections of staff members after being warned that a cutoff could jeopardize $2 billion in weapons sales to America’s Gulf allies, according to a classified memo and people familiar with the decision.

The move has fueled rising outrage in Congress, where a bipartisan group of lawmakers is trying to cut off American military aid for Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in their three-year-old war against Iran-backed fighters in Yemen. More than 16,700 civilians have been killed or injured in Yemen, according to the United Nations, which says the Gulf nation is home to the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. The U.S. is backing the Gulf allies in Yemen, where the Trump administration is working to contain Iran’s allies and al Qaeda militants.

Mr. Pompeo overruled concerns from most of the State Department specialists involved in the debate who were worried about the rising civilian death toll in Yemen. Those who objected included specialists in the region and in military affairs. He sided with his legislative affairs team after they argued that suspending support could undercut plans to sell more than 120,000 precision-guided missiles to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, according to a classified State Department memo and people familiar with the debate.

State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said she wouldn’t comment on “the deliberative process or allegedly leaked documents.”

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration is nearing completion of a new “Buy American” plan that calls for U.S. military attaches and diplomats to help drum up billions of dollars more in business overseas for the U.S. weapons industry, going beyond the limited assistance they currently provide, officials said.

President Donald Trump is expected to announce a “whole of government” approach that will also ease export rules on U.S. military exports and give greater weight to the economic benefits for American manufacturers in a decision-making process that has long focused heavily on human rights considerations, according to people familiar with the plan.

The initiative, which will encompass everything from fighter jets and drones to warships and artillery, is expected to be launched as early as February, senior officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

A key policy change would call for embassy staffers around the world to act essentially as a sales force for defense contractors, actively advocating on their behalf. It was unclear, however, what specific guidelines would be established.

“Two days ago, President Trump and Vice President Pence delivered solemn speeches about the attacks on 9/11, talking about how much they care about the victims of al-Qaeda’s attack on our country. But, they are now standing up to protect the 20,000 to 40,000 al-Qaeda and other jihadist forces in Syria, and threatening Russia, Syria, and Iran, with military force if they dare attack these terrorists.

“This is a betrayal of the American people, especially the victims of al-Qaeda’s attack on 9/11 and their families, first responders, and my brothers and sisters in uniform who have been killed or wounded in action and their families. For the President, who is Commander in Chief, to act as the protective big brother of al-Qaeda and other jihadists must be condemned by every Member of Congress.”

U.S. forces conduct live-fire exercise in southern Syria in a warning to Russia

U.S. Marines conducted a live-fire aerial assault exercise in southern Syria on Friday designed to warn Russian and other military forces to stay away from an American base there.

The exercise, involving a company-size unit, came amid rising U.S.-Russia tensions across the Syrian battlespace. The Trump administration has warned both Russia and the Syrian government against a planned offensive in Idlib province in northwest Syria, the largest remaining pocket of rebel fighters who have tried, and failed, over the past seven years to oust President Bashar al-Assad.

Trump has had one day in office when he was considered presidential; when he bombed the empty airfield in Syria. The media was moved by the beauty of the weapons lol.

Trump needs to stop talking and start mass killing civilians somewhere in the Islamic world if he wants to be a real president. Give us smoking heaps of rubble where cities used to stand.

Bipartisan House Bill Aims to Stop US Military Involvement in Yemen War

War Powers Act bill would end unauthorized war

A bipartisan resolution was introduced in the House of Representatives Wednesday under the War Powers Act. If the bill is passed, it would formally end US military involvement in the Saudi-led war in Yemen.

The war in Yemen was never authorized by Congress, and US participation has become increasingly controversial, as Saudi airstrikes kill staggering numbers of civilians. This has led to growing resistance within Congress, though Congressional leadership has often sought ways to circumvent the votes.

Last year, the House offered a very similar War Powers Act resolution. Such resolutions are legally required to come up for a vote, though the leadership managed to block that one, and bargain their way down to a non-binding resolution.

Indeed, that bill and a Senate version came with the Pentagon claiming there were no US ground operations in Yemen involved in the war, a claim which later proved to be a lie. That in particlar has added calls for a re-vote.

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), the lead sponsor, says he is confident that the new version of the bill won’t suffer the same fate, noting that support for the bill has expanded since then.

The support for ending the war both reflects incidents like the Saudi attack on a school bus in August, and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s overt circumvention of the 2019 NDAA clause which obliged the US to halt aid to the Saudis until they did more to reduce casualties. Pompeo immediately declared they’d done enough, though the death toll has continued to rise.

Russia Will Provide S-300s to Syria to Defend Entire Airspace

Following Monday’s announcement that Russia will provide Syria with advanced S-300 air defense systems within the coming weeks, officials now say that the delivery is intended to provide enough such systems to cover all of Syrian airspace.

The early estimates are that this will mean Syria getting up to eight S-300 systems. The substantial range of the systems also means that an S-300 system in Damascus would also provide radar coverage across Lebanon, and northern Israel.

All told, this means that the S-300 systems will provide even more of a counter to the repeated Israeli airstrikes against Syrian territory. The S-300 missiles not only are of a generation meant to pose a real threat to such attackers, but the radar, far superior to the S-200, will give them advanced warning of any incursion, instead of just finding out when the rockets start landing.

Israel has long expressed opposition to Russia providing the S-300 to any of its regional rivals, generally Syria and Iran. The Russian decision to provide the systems to Syria came after an Israeli attack on the Syrian coast, during which a Russian surveillance plane was shot down.
