I was really, really expecting Jose to lose. He was taking a lot of damage to the head and was almost KO'd twice.
Then through some cocktail of grit, dgaf, and ego, he came back and ripped that awesome combo.

He won me over as a fan. Well done Jose.

I still can't believe Torres came in with a clinch/grappling heavy gameplan :( she needed to light Joanna up and get a finish as she was never going to get her down for any length of time and she doesn't have the submission game to be dangerous. No chance of winning a decision while standing, at least without any knockdowns etc. Very disappointed.

I saw the first rd of Torres last fight against Andrade and she was lightning fast and countering with precision, thought we'd see the same ... it's like she looked at the last 2 rds of that fight and decided to focus on shoring up her grappling and clinch game, but she employed it against the wrong opponent IMO. If she had the physical strength to lift Joanna off her feet like Andrade and Gadelha did then I'd understand the strategy, but she really doesn't possess that strength and she certainly doesn't have their level of BJJ.

Waste of a matchup for both, but really just a keep busy fight for Joanna, it does nothing for her in the grand scheme of things.

I've been very disappointing by Joanna. She's been on a steady downhill slide. At her peak she would have finished Torres in 1-2 rounds.

Training at ATT in Florida has been bad for her.
