The old space puppet show Fireball XL5 was pretty neat.
Cool theme song too:
Here's an episode:

People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.

That show looks rad! I have never seen it before. Is it pre-Indiana Jones?

Tales of the gold monkey came out after the Indiana Jones phase, it's actually pretty decent for its time, lots of machismo that's missing from today's fare, bitches getting slapped around and errythang.

Update:
I am trying to watch some of the classic 80s cartoons that I missed as a kid. That one Thundar the Barbarian looks awesome, I watched Inspector Gadget a lot growing up so I will rewatch some of that, He-Man, Thunder Cats and Transformers seem to be the holy trinity of 80s cartoons so I will watch those. I kinda just missed the craze around them but my cousins who were older than me were super into it so I saw a lot of their action figures and thought they were pretty cool.
