yeah what's up with that?

cliff notes? what makes it so interesting? I'll check it out next week

Danaher has way of engaging you, every sentence seems to be building suspense for the next sentence. He's a strange cat but obviously a genius or a savant.

This system has been making huge waves over the past 2-4 years. The majority of No-Gi sub-only matches are won by Leglockers using this approach.

When I first watched Eddie Cummings blow through EBI I didn't know what I was looking at. It looked like a mix of luck, and no hesitation heel-hooks. Now I see the system behind it.

watched half of it, understand why its paradigm shifting. Super cool I will finish it

Tried some of his thinking today at the club, not legs specifically, but deciding to move 'down' the ladder when things aren't working, also focusing on control as a priority over advancement or submission.

Genius stuff

Is this system and his sharing of it very recent? Could this potentially change BJJ majorly? Like majorly?

Very good Masato-San.

When you lose the line of the shoulders you retreat to control the hips. Lose the hips and you back to fighting the knees.
It goes deeper than the hierarchy of positions.

I don't want to feed the 'hype' too much, I'm going to continue on my path, and not ride the fad.

But yes it will. Watch this match from the ADCC 2017 Middleweight. Some unknown, sometimes sloppy American grappler Craig Jones completely shuts down Leandro Lo with the Danaher system. Leandro is considered one of the best guard passers ever, and in still in his prime.

Since Gary Tonon started wrecking EBI, we have been living in the Danaher era. Everyone who employs this style is dominating sub-only tournaments, and in 2017, they were represented in ADCC medal-earners more than any other gym.

The question is, how long will it take for the counters to be developed, and for the Brazilians to become proficient at the defenses. More importantly, how will this change the BJJ Meta?

Specialists at the Truck, the Crucifix, Rubber Guard have all had their day. The difference is they get to their specialist position from a dominant position like Side-Control, Turtle, High-Guard. Now these Leg-Lock positions are coming mid-guard-pass. That's what Danaher is talking about with the bidirectional, retrograde motion stuff.

Jiujitsu is becoming SuperFluid.

everyones been throwing up leglocks at the gym since this video came out.
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.
