My all-time favorite film (barring AKIRA) is Alejandro Jodorowsky's 1973 magnum opus, The Holy Mountain: A trippy, surreal exploration of the spiritual experience, absolutely FILLED with social commentary, Zen wisdom and more occult symbolism than you can shake a staff at. Filmed entirely in Mexico, The Holy Mountain is a strange, yet powerful tour de force.
Keep in mind that it is NOT for the weak of heart. It contains a lot of nudity - of all ages, disturbing scenes and even one scene of actual animal cruelty (a bunch of bullfrogs are detonated by adjacent explosives in a strange reenactment of the conquest of Mexico.) Regardless, it is HIGHLY recommended that you see it.
Jodorowsky is my spiritual muse.

Great movie, recommend watching it high as shit because your sober mind won't comprehend much otherwise.
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.

I don't think you would need drugs at all. ^^;
Ganja is not a drug.

Holy Mountain is amazing, I also like his earlier movie El Topo.
Both make a great double feature.
