I was more referring to the idea of benevolence having more weight when it comes from the heart.

If it doesn't, its not benevolence, it's just showing off... or at best self ego-boosting

There is a strange pleasure in doing something nice when nobody sees, even the person you did it for. Never speak of it again. Our ego will resist/want to talk but don't listen to it. Forget about it and be on your way, karma will return one day after you've long forgotten about it

It's the way to be. People who don't know me tend to think I'm a bit of an asshole.
Met this Swedish guy the other day at Khao Sarn was his last day in Thailand so I smoked him out and gave him enough weed for 3-4 joints. He was so fucking surprised, shame that.
