People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.

I can imagine a few scenarios where I would pick up a nice laser level (hanging cabinets and whatnot), but the air bubbles are fine for the most part.

Mudding this cubby space was not easily done.

- Thats a great work!
- I rent this space for advertising

Thank you. I got sidetracked by another job but I should be back on this one by next week. Still have to paint, floor, do some shelving, and sanding is up next... which I'm really not looking forward to.

Getting ready to put this floor on.

Did a couple of skim coats over the texture of the old ceiling and back wall. Was always going to do the back wall but decided to do the ceiling because I didn't want to go back to home depot to match the texture and I had enough mud to flatten it. It created quite a bit more sanding (which sucks) but having everything flat gave me a lot more design options.

Closet walls are typically white so that there is good contrast for the clothes that are hanging up. So I made the roof rectangle white, front and back walls white (where hangers will be) as well as any other parallel plane. Left and right walls grey as well as parallel planes. Put shelving in the nook. Going to stain the shelving to match the floor. Treating the diagonal planes like wall instead of ceiling.

long narrow mirror going in that space between the nook and the corner shelf.

Going to pick up a pocket hole jig to join that shelving before I hang it.
