Concept Art 4 My Trilogy Project

Postby Masato » Mon Nov 05, 2018 7:24 pm

Hey all

Here is an update to my feature screenplay Trilogy I've been working on... Super excited to have finished these, now I need to build a pitch website and then start shopping it around as best I can.

Scripts are all tight and re-written a hundred times, ready to pitch. Been writing them for literally over 15 years. I didn't want to make the concept art until the scripts were more secure, super trippy to see it now finally coming into focus

Wish me luck! I'll keep ya posted when the website is up, hopefully Jan 2019

The story was blocked/stuck for maybe almost 2 years. Some pieces to the puzzle I just couldn't unlock, couldn't find the right solution to solve it.

Amazingly, SRBrant's 'Kitsune stuff' unlocked the whole thing, provided the missing puzzle piece and it all clicked together and sang. I will be forever grateful for this

Photoshop. Many layers

That character is not 'me', nor my online persona - just the same name. All the characters are 'me' really if you wanna get all deep about it lol

In the story 'Masato' is maybe 17 years old, still just a kid. He gets invited by mistake to compete in a big MMA show in brasil, so he has no business being there and is a total underdog. The greater trilogy is all about these 2 different martial arts styles; 1 that is all about striking and imposing your will (YANG energy) that produces the red light, and a softer style of martial arts like Aikdo etc that is principled on harmony and compassion etc (YIN), which produces a white light. Masato is a master of the second style, he's the underdog in the tournament so that's why he can't be visually alpha

That, or I am a victim of Japanese pop-social conditioning agenda :D
