Postby fungi » Thu Feb 20, 2014 2:21 pm

^ I do.
Send me the link. and the start and end times for the gif.

p.s. I agree we can and we should make the NEW F7 the center of shooping.

Hey man

well upon second look it may not be that great... its the start of the Faber sequence here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... meo#t=2156

I thought it was funny the way he is peeking out from behind the wall... I thought maybe he could be hiding something that could be shooped in/revealed when he pops out. Just a seed man, no solid joke yet

BUT I would LOVE to learn how to do that with Youtube videos...!! If I could capture say a few seconds of a Youtube vid and then import all the frames into photoshop or whatever that would be amazing. It is complicated?

This place should inspire/push each other to be more creative, whether for silly things when we're bored or bigger things when we are ambitious (SHerdgo RPG GAME hint hint lol)

...abut bringing more people here, I can't do it alone. I facebook/tweet daily, try to keep the forum updated, and am always working on new projects (have 1 coming soon you will dig :)) - but there is only so much I can do myself. This is why I'm always calling people who are interested in this place to help sow some seeds!!

Masato, check out GIFcam:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=552032

with that you can make gifs off of pretty much any video on the web. with the gif you can use a program called gif splitter. You can split the gif into jpgs or bmps or whatever. just get the simplest one from download.com
and then just upload the bunch of jpgs/bmps from the gif into PS.

I'm guessing you would lose some image quality though - whenever I do a screen grab for example it always comes out a bit blurry

good enough though, I'm hyped

sure, Masato.
If you can download the yt video to you computer, and if you have at least some video editing software (windows movie maker or real player will work), you can cut/edit/crop what you need from the video. and then convert the video into a gif or a bunch/stack of pngs on this website:
http://www.online-convert.com/

it's a longer route but does provide high quality.

definitely do not install a youtube "video downloading" software.
there are a bunch of "online" video downloading sites, like:

http://catchvideo.net/
http://keepvid.com/

or just google "download youtube video online", you'll get some useful links.

the things with long videos is it may take forever (like the one you wanted, over 1 hr long). in that case gifcam would work better, imho.

Can't wait for a good opportunity to sit down and figure it out. If I could do that, my potential for new ideas would just expand a whole bunch. Just need time, dammit! (life is fukin BUSY these days... movin way too fast)
