^^ WOW! so cool man, I know nothing about that place, (though have always been attracted to islands in general)

Am I reading the purple color right, that it is a part of France, and not Italy?

Yes, we are part of France. We belonged to Italy until 1735, then we've been independent, then France conquered us.
We have our language (very close to the Italian).

Napoléon Bonaparte was born here.
