Tile job
Re: Tile job
As it turns out, tiling a bathroom will be my first kosher gig. Just looked at it today... should be a degree of difficulty or two less than the fountain , I think.

Bathrooms are easy, no sweat
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.
The fountain has a curved top, curved corners, more complex inside edges... I'm going to just tile planes in this bathroom. It's much less complex.
Going to have to case the windows before I really start tiling. If I was more of an asshole, this is where some of the money would be.
I am going to case the windows. I won't ask for much.

What, no mitres?

I was thinking about it but the drywall is a quarter inch thicker than the hardie board and I thought this way was easier. (the mitre cuts wouldn't fit naturally together because the surface is uneven, but I could have probably made it work with a larger gauge nailer)
I was putting the boards in place with an 18 gauge nailer and then pounding the right sized finishing nails in by hand. I didn't want to buy a 100-150 dollar tool to do a hundred dollar job (I need to get a 15 or 16 gauge nailer).

Plus, these people are just happy to see progress. They had a union guy on the job like a year ago but he cut a finger off somewhere... bless his heart.
