Thoughts on coronavirus...

Could these things just be manufactured scares, to make people feel they want/need government more around election times? To psychologically legitimize what might otherwise seen as something absurd? I have heard people with my own ears saying they want the governments to take over everything and save us, well with that kind of mommy-government mentality then elections suddenly seem important and legit

People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.
Coronavirus and BJJ?
People telling me not to go train, my son too. But this could go on for months.
Honestly the above correlation with virus panics and elections is maybe the strongest theory I've seen yet.

It's more than just a feeling. The thing that sticks out about everything that I've read about coronavirus is how typical it is. It spreads the same way as other viruses. Mortality rate is maybe a little bit high but not really.
The only thing different about it is the way that is is covered in the media and online... which is why I think the whole thing is more show than go. Unless you are in bad health, this shouldn't invade your thoughts and instincts of self preservation at all.

I dunno man, I had that swine flu that was going around the end of '09 and that sucked.
