I noticed it in the debate, this new term 'fact-check' which basically means if you can't verify something through an approved mainstream source, or you can find a 'snopes' type source that says it's not true, then the fact does not check.

This has now evolved into the Fake News hyperbole in the dinosaur media, and already a list of sites such as Breibart, Infowars and Drudge are on the list of fake news sites, all targeted for censorship if the lunatic left gets it's way.

This all really evolved from the debunking of 9/11 theories and other conspiracies, but it has now reached critical mass.

It reminds me of debating on the OG back in the day, if you could not cite a corporate media source for what you were saying, then it never happened.

Yes I encountered this problem over the course of the fall election on a hockey website that I frequent. I was 'fact checked' with Snopes more than once, with Media Watch, with every globalist source in cyberspace it seemed like. These mainstream Vancouver hockey fans became so triggered over there I was actually forced to 'hide' all my posts with the warning 'caution - this post contains anti Hillary and/or anti war content. I'm not kidding.

It's really being pushed hard by the leftist media and the DNC, they are blaming "fake news" for Pizza Gate now, and the shooting of a Pizza shop. Hillary Clinton made a speech saying that it proves how dangerous "fake news" can be.

This is surreal, considering that Trump has just won the election, how much momentum do the media think they can gain with this blatant effort to demonize any news source that isn't a part of the MSM? Trump is unlikely to introduce a Ministry of Truth to screen all news reports like the lefties want. This could only work if Clinton had won, maybe they still see a glimmer of hope that she can steal the election.

A group of black CNN employees have announced they will file a class-action lawsuit against the network, Turner Broadcasting, and Time Warner, claiming racial discrimination. The suit reportedly alleges that employees suffered from abuse of power, nepotism, and retaliation at the hands of the powerful cable network. Attorney Daniel Meachum said in a press release that an initial suit filed by DeWayne Walker led to uncovering the further discrimination claimed in the class-action filing. Walker, a producer, sued CNN in January. It is not yet clear which other employees are involved in the suit.

The sooner we can understand this and stop trying to put everything in order, the sooner we can start to evolve imo. We live in precious times BECAUSE we have internet to allow all these perspectives to come forward, not in spite of it. The burden of truth has fallen on OUR shoulders, we have grown up out of the nursery and no longer need Big Brother to tell us what to believe. We no longer crowd around the local News Anchors to tell us what reality is like, we are suddenly able to explore for ourselves, and we are suddenly aware of the vast differences in how people think and see the world.
