PRIDE 3 Main Event

Nobuhiko Takada vs Kyle Sturgeon.

Nobody knows jack about Kyle Sturgeon at the time of the fight.



I am going through all my PRIDE DVDs in order to pass the work week... and I have to say there was something very strange going on from the Takada dojo in the early years. Most every one of the Gracie fights in early PRIDE were against opponents from Takada dojo, and they almost all behaved very oddly in these fights.

Takada's next fight was another loss to Rickson, and then a WIN against Mark Coleman (lol)

I am putting together a loose CT of what I think was happening but am only fishing for ideas. Would be interesting to try to dig the real story of what those guys were cooking in those days

In any case, his gym produced Kazushi Sakuraba which is my hero so thanks Takada!

Looks pretty suspicious, like since were just gonna throw this fight lets not punch each other in the face at all. The movement is pretty awkward to, like a unrehearsed dance or something
