YES!!! LOLOLOL this is my new favourite HL reel
Sam & Dave 4 Tha WIN
K 1 1993 Maurice Smith vs Ernesto Hoost
^^ I don't see the Coleman KO in there
Also Mo Smith was doing commentary for the Saku-Royce 2000 fight. He did very well imo, that was a hard fight to commentate (so long) but Mo did really well
I remember he was really respectful, giving Saku a lot of praise but looking at this thread now, I bet there was a part of him quietly think he could have probably KOd both Royce and Saku in the same night lol

- I think Sakuraba would win. But Saku had a hard time against strikers!

I remember Smith as the guy who changed UFC from Mark Coleman GnP to striking arts... but never knew how good he really was. I was always impressed with how relaxed/composed he was
Good fight. Hoost has such a weird style but so scary. I still don't understand how Sapp beat him!
Smith had already won the Battlecade Extreme Fighting heavyweight title at that point by knocking out Carlson Gracie student Marcus Silveira. That was the real breakthrough for kickboxers in big time mma. I had seen that event and was quite optimistic that Smith could beat Coleman at the time.
- You know what Smiths does today? He teachs? Works on another field?

I honestly think he would have KOd Saku and Royce EASILY. If he could avoid Coleman's shoot and LO a big guy like that, imagine what he would do to poor Royce or Saku
And that's saying a lot because Saku is my #1 fighter!
Wandy wrecked Saku 3x by superior striking, and I dare say Mo had better standup than Wandy
What a humble guy. Always impressed with his demeanor. Or maybe he just subconsciously makes me think of Gordon from Sesame Street

I'm not sure Edge. He might still be involved in the fight game somehow. As far as I know he never left his home city of Seattle.

This was a classic event, one of the best ever. Includes the big Smith vs Silveira fight as well as the Matt Hume vs Erik Carlson classic and the Igor Zinoviev vs John Lober war.
Plus Murukami Kazanari vs Bart Vale
This event has it all!
