- I don't miss Pride, i miss some fighters that fought in Pride.
And think about a very tough guy:

Oh dude - now we DEFINITELY need a vote-up system...!

This is one of my all-time favourite fights EVER.

The drama at the time, in context was amazing. PRIDE was at it's height, Wandy was a feared, feared man (having murdered Saku already) - and Yoshida was just a Judo guy. The pressure and nationalism and comic-book like proportions were off the scale, my imgaination was in 5th gear baby

NOBODY gave Yoshida a chance, everyone thought it was gonna be a slaughter but they cheered hard for him. Quadros would say "His only chance is to take him down" - and god willing Yoshida actually took him down right at the beginning of the fight. Crowd goes fucking bananas

Then Wandy starts pulling some jitz on him (maybe the only time ever), almost finishes Yoshida from the bottom

Insane fight.

Thanks Edge

Is this their second fight? I remember the second fight Yoshida arguably won and everyone was saying "Nakamura will own Silva, he is a younger stronger Yoshida" lol

- I was thinking about using the word comic when describing the fight. Great minds think equal like they say.:)
Hidehiko got in those fights like some sort of Rocky, set to face the Terminator instead of Apollo Creed.
And the man gave Wand a tough fight, Hidehiko got that never say die quality, and gave everything he got to beat Wand, and Wand did the same, was a beautiful fight, neither man cold be broken that night.

Another great fight was Mario Sperry vs Murilo Ninja

Sperry vs Ninja was horrible

That was back in the Chute Boxe vs Brazilian Top Team rivalry... I loved them both but my heart was with BTT at the time

Sperry was sick or something, he literally turned green early in the fight. You could tell he was feeling horrible and was getting a pounding from a fresh young Murilo Ninja... but he held on and fought it out. So brutal I remember really feeling bad for him

Later became a huge Ninja Rua fan
