Much like the Akira video that Masato posted, this group of people are trying to recreate the opening sequence of Ghost in the Shell, which along with Akira, is my favorite anime.

I don't understand how these projects get funded though... how to they get a team of obvious professionals to work on something like this? It is just for portfolio purposes? To make a pitch for a contact to do the whole film?
