Hey Ben. How’s your Thai coming along?

Slowly.

At the minute I have three areas down well.

1. Numbers/Time.
2. Food.
3. Curse Words.

I can usually pick out the odd word or two in what people are saying, but can’t have a proper conversation.

There is a Slovenian guy at our school who is really good at Thai, during lockdown he was trying to teach me. The hardest part for me is the tones. I really struggle to pronounce words correctly at times. Just got to keep plugging away at it I guess.

Going to Bangkok any time soon? I’ve given up on the hard stuff for the time being and I’d like to meet up with you.

I’m not sure when I’ll be next in Bangkok. Whenever I went there it would either be for a Scrabble tournament or a gig. Sadly, neither of them two things are happening at the minute. If for some reason I go there, I’ll try and fire a message your way.
