and you will need a good audio interface to use with the mic as well. For just a podcast I would recommend the roland SUPER UA

And the Audient id22

Also the Arturia AudioFuse

Looks cool IMO.

Not too expensive. Seems compatible with just about everything.

Just quickly about Audient, its selling points are the preamps and converters.

The internal preamps are considered very high quality and clear, similar to a Grace 101 preamp.

So it cuts out the need to purchase a separate preamp, unless you want something colored or very high end.

I'd also recommend the Universal Audio Apollo Twin MKII DUO

Never used it.

But I tend to think very highly of Universal Audio products.

For some reason, I was thinking this was only Mac compatible as well.

But it also appears to work with Windows.

I'll probably update this in a few days.

I Just ordered an Audio Technica AT4047 microphone.

Lots of different opinions on this microphone. A "character mic" as it is not so transparent but, rather, known for it's warm, dark, fuzzy tone.

Biggest claim to fame was having been used on highly successful "Duets" recordings.

Nothing else to do while on quarantine. So I'll put this up against a couple of other microphones I have laying around and see how it does.

List price is around $699.99.

I found a like new/mint condition one and got it for $449.99.

So if I don't love it, it's not the end of the world.

We'll see how it does.

Hey Chris G

I don't understand, have you actually used most of these products well enough to reveiw?

You are dropping 500 bones on a mic during a recession?

Send us all some cheques! :D

j/k

What experience do you have with this stuff? Do you have a podcast?

Here is my Bad Boy:

I bought it because it was called 'Nessie' like the Loch Ness Monster

I think I'm going on End of Days radio on the 18th with it

Dude, this is a copied ey thread
People say they all want the truth, but when they are confronted with a truth that disagrees with them, they balk at it as if it were an unwanted zombie apocalypse come to destroy civilization.
