I want my dealer to simply be able to keep dealing without having to worry about the cops.

Of course everyone would like to see as little government interference as possible, but you know when they do decide to get involved it won't be out of any sense of altruism. It's going to be just like it always is/was when they legalize booze, sports wagering, casinos, lotteries, cigarettes, prostitution....it's a cash grab. Another honey jar they can get their filthy little hands in and with stiff penalties for plain old folks like you and me should we try to participate. The Canadian experience has been a gut wrenchingly cynical ploy that's been transparent for everyone to see from the get go. I have posted my view of the situation on other threads here already. It makes for a great civics lesson if nothing else I guess ;)

The government are greedy as fuck and played this about as well as they could have from their perspective unfortunately

I hear california was pretty much the same shit, convince the public with words while anyone aware of the situation was warning as many people as they could

Yeah. As far as I know the biggest difference between the legal states like California, Washington and Colorado and Canada is that the legal weed is actually pretty good in those places and it seems to be chemical laden, irradiated unsmokable junk in Canada. It's my understanding that the black market is still outcompeting the legal industry in those places too.

Thailand Is About to Legalize Medical Marijuana and It Could Change Everything

"Weed right now, at least in America, is profitable," Kitty said. "There’s a $2 to $4 billion dollar industry in Oregon, and that’s just Oregon alone. There’s also so much money to be made here too, and the government knows it can make lots of money out of this. And they realize that it could actually be good for the people."
