Well I am now an empty nester. 
My oldest is in college, has a job, and trains for MMA. He has 2 amateur fights so far and one upcoming in November. He is 2 - 0.
My youngest just finished the Crucible in marine boot camp. He will officially graduate Friday.
I’m a proud mom!
But I miss them terribly

You are a few years ahead of me. My daughter is off to college but still not independent, son is still in grade 11.
I imagine empty nest will be harder on my wife than for me, but who knows till we get there?
