Type-casted actors playing different roles...

Postby Masato » Tue Feb 18, 2014 2:49 pm

Hey all

Sometimes an actor becomes permanently embedded into our brain to the point that we just can't accept them as any other character.

Here is a brief example for anyone who watched the old Star Trek TNG series...

- what other actors can you not accept without associating their typecast?

- Jim Carey is a very versatile actor, but people know him as a comedian.
Some guys are always the good guys, i personaly love Tom Cruse, for me he is a good actor, but people always expect him to be the good guy.

Well i grew up watching John Lithgow in 3rd rock of the sun.(I loved that show)
And even that he is a very talented actor, i always expect him to be in a comedy.

Same with Owen Wilson, i love the guy, and always expect him to be in a comedy.( Mother focker made me cry like a baby in Marley and I).

Reese Winterspoon always should be the cute girl next door.
