I knew some guys that had a pretty bad band, and the girls were really big on them.

I remember once I worked at an event with some boy band... I had backstage passes but was only there for the cash and really had absolutely no idea what the band was.

We were sitting around eating on a break and these kids were there and I think were offended because we didn't know who they were, and didn't swoon them etc. I honestly didn't figure out they were performers until much later.

Then we sold our backstage passes to some rich kids for $200 bones and left, lol
